Welcome to my very first challenge for NBK Designs. I wanted to offer something different for this challenge or something that I haven't seen in the forum since my introduction to scrapping almost two years ago. This challenge is called Black & White with a splash of color.

I know of at least three ways to do this in Photoshop or Elements.

1. You could duplicate your colored image, add a Black & White adjustment layer and use the mask supplied with the adjustment layer to reveal any part of the colored image.
2. Use the Foreground to Transparent Gradient tool to get a smooth blending from Black & White to color on the Black & White layer mask.
3. Start with a Black & White image and paint in some color on a new layer using a "Color" blend mode.

I would love to see if you can demonstrate any other method that is a favorite of yours to produce that "Splash of Color".

Rules:
• Scrap a page using any of the methods discussed above or any other method you particularly like. Can be any size you wish.
• Layout needs to contain 75% of NBK Design products.
• Layouts need to be uploaded to NBK GALLERY by Sunday 08/28/2016 11.59 pm CST time.
• Layouts need to be linked back to this thread by Sunday 08/28/2016 11.59 pm CST time.
• A tally of the number of layouts for every NBK challenge for each person over the month will be done by Astrid. The person with the highest count will win a 10 $ Coupon to the NBK Design Shop.

This is one of those pages where I don't have a clue on how I got to the end result.
I tried so many things, so many tweaks that I didn't like and then suddenly I must have hit the right button. LOL
