Oscraps

Best song ever

In the Netherlands we have various versions of The Top 2000, 4000 or so on the radio each year before Christmas. I don't know if other countries do this as well. Most of the time Bohemian Rapsody from Queen wins. Perhaps we can do an Oscraps list of best songs ever.
So I thought if we all write down our 5 most favorite songs, we can find out what our/Oscraps best song ever is.
No prizes, just for fun.
I will start in the post below this one.
Hope to see you all playing along!

Ohhh, that is interesting and fun. Lemme think of this for a bit. I'll start my list and edit/rearrange it as songs come to me.

(why am I drawing a blank right now??)

OK- got one.

La Vie Boheme Jonathan Larson/Cast of Rent
American Idiot or maybe Jesus of Suburbia Green Day
Its my Life Bon Jovi

(still struggling here!)

Awh, the good all eighties, and even I love Amazing Grace!

And when I saw your list I couldn't believe that I had left off "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green. It was my first LP and I really wore it out!
That's one of those songs that when you hear the FIRST note, you know what it is! I can't stand still when I hear it.
