Anyone a left-hander?

vickyday

Love my O Family!
CHEERY O
And, if so, did you know that today, August 13th, is International Left-Handers Day?
My husband was a leftie and he always hoped to have left-handed grandchildren. The last 3, all girls, are lefties! Unfortunately, he only realized the older of the 3 was left-handed before he passed away 4 years ago.

My aunt is a leftie and my mom thinks she was a leftie before the school forced her to use her right hand.
I have a bunch of friends who are lefties too, we bump elbows on Thanksgiving!

Yes, I remember the elbow bumps! I think it is a shame that your mom was forced to be right handed! I've heard of that happening!

I am a left-hander taught to be a right hander. It is quite evident,I do everything like I am left-handed except writing. My sister told me that when I started school,my mother worried that being left handed would impede my progress so she prompted me to be left handed.I do okay but sometimes when I need to assemble something,I set it up for left-handed.

My sister was left-handed, but sorta ambidextrous (sp?). It was so fun when I got a letter from her, cuz when she got tired of writing with one hand, she just changed hand. She had two different hand writings - a bit "sloppier" with her right hand.

My brother and my son is left-handed as well.

I have no idea ... Why are some people left-handed?

My husband ate with his left hand, wrote with his left hand, held tools with his left hand, but I think anything else he did right-handed, like batting in baseball.

I have no idea, either, Eva. My ultimate answer is God, but I don't know the physicality of it all! I broke my right wrist and had to wear a cast for 6 weeks, but I still typed at my job with my right hand as I used the key pad mostly, which is on the right side of the key board, of course. Fortunately, I didn't have to have a cast that went all the way up my arm!
