Any foods you've been obsessed with lately?

Recently, I just can't seem to get enough of tomato soup... I make it a couple of times a week (from fresh tomatoes) and that means I have at least a bowl a day, often more. One batch makes 4-5 cups and I can eat at least half in one go... hot, cold - it doesn't matter... I don't remember having pregnancy cravings, but what is happening to me now is surreal - I just can't stop eating tomato soup...

Of course, I've googled what this might mean (the jury is still out on this one) and the benefits of tomato soup and the rest of my family have been having a laugh at my expense for the past month or so... lol all the way to the moon and back...

No obsessions, but certain foods I really like, I can't eat anymore because they give me a stomach ace.
I really find that hard sometimes!

This is such a fun topic, Olga. When my late husband retired, he said he wanted to learn to cook and he wanted me to teach him. He had a natural affinity for it and of course, I let him take over the cooking reigns. That man could throw together the most delicious meals you ever ate. Fast forward to about Thanksgiving - He was gone (in the hospital, then in a rehab facility) for 2 and 1/2 months, so when he came home, I had to start cooking again. I learned to make him high protein/nutritious meals that were easy for him to eat because he had no appetite. When he didn't want to eat anymore, I "invented" a high calorie, high protein smoothie that became pretty well known in the home nursing circles. They even asked me for my recipe so they could share it with their other patients who didn't want to eat.

Since my husband passed away, I've been cooking. At first, my attempts were very simple - just enough to get by. I can now say that I'm actually enjoying cooking for myself and I'm getting pretty inventive. I would have to say that my latest favorite things are Mission Low Carb Tortillas. I LOVE wraps of any kind. Scrambled eggs with cheese and a little Mayo on them - yum. Last night I had fish tacos (on the low carb tortillas) with shredded cheese, mango pieces, avacado pieces and mayo on top. I have enough left over for tonight's dinner.

LOL - I answered your question backwards, didn't I? :floorlaugh:

We’ve been eating a lot of oatmeal lately, with either bananas or blueberries in it. That will probably change now the weather is warming up.

I have no specific cravings but this time of year I start wanting fresh foods again. In the winter it's *all* about carbs. As soon as spring hits, I want salads again
