I've been in a really really sappy, corny movies mood lately. Sometimes I get the channel trials on Prime and binge. Right now I'm on this UP channel and it has tons of just really sappy movies with sometimes known actors but mostly not, to stream while scrapping lol.

I'm not but both of my daughters are. Haha They love to spend a whole Sunday watching them. I might start - "reality" is starting to close in on me. LOL

one of our regular tv channels has started with "romantic winter" films, about a film a day until valentines day.
and in December we had 2 Christmas romance films every evening!

they all look alike! after seeing some of them we even had a list of things that would happen,
so we sort of waited for those things to happen to check them of our "list"!
-going home for the holidays: check
-christmas fair: check
-tree lightning ceremony: check
-baking cookies: check
-giant nutcrackers in every street: check
-and so on!

love watching those easy films, but would not stay home for it!

I do enjoy them occasionally!

I kind of like the predictability of them. It can be a relief to the brain sometimes :)

I watch them when my brain needs something simple. I pick those with Candace Cameron Bure in them. Then I know my brain won't even have to understand English. Lol

I'm not into these, but lately I've been picking some really old movies, often that one or both of us didn't see at the time. Last night we watched The Misfits, the 1961 film that was the last for both Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe. There's a service called Kanopy that we get through the library with 10 free per month. Not all are old, but lots are.

I love old movies! Especially old musicals like with Judy Garland!

ha ha yes I watched all the Chrisrtmas shows. I could predict what was going to happen but it was a nice change from the usual crime dramas I watch. Otherwise I don't watch as I don't have the Hallmark channel.

I love them but rarely get the chance to watch them - hubby is not a fan and he has the remote most often (and usually I'm just on my laptop with whatever he's got on in the background)

I love them... they are easy, relaxing, put a smile on my face and leave my heart feeling cosy and warm. No ugliness, no unresolved drama, no reality check, no violence, no hatred... the kind of fairytales we all need from time to time.. There is enough real-life drama in the news, why would I spend my coveted free time experiencing the same sense of hopelessness.. hubby and kids don't agree with me, but they've got their own laptops...

I saw a bunch of Angela Teagarden Mysteries before Christmas. Those where nice. A bit of crime mystery, but in a feel good type. Cameron Candace Bure in the lead role & based on Charlaine Harris' books. Really liked them, kinda reminds me of British crime like Agatha Christie's Ms Marple. Or Angela Lansbury in Murder She Wrote.
