Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects a creative page or design concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 08.25.23 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: On Saturday the AnnaTeam posts a creative concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

Lunari annua by helenedubois

Lunari annua by helenedubois captures the delicate and misty beauty of the lunari annua bush. The transparent seeds create refracted light through its delicate structure. The blending of the focal image suggests details through a mist. The focal image receives brushes and paints that blend the image to a neutral ground of creme, gray, and amber. Touches of script are blended into the edges and fade. A delicate frame is stitched and accented with a heart charm. The delicate lines of the plant become abstracted and organic ovals. Stitching is repeated along the border. Confetti adds a faint texture and extends the image with dimensional elements. The design offers us the opportunity to explore a favorite photo, plant, portrait or digitally paint a visually stunning display. Without a title to lead, the viewer is allowed to follow their own vision and direction.

• Accent with journaling or word transfers. . .

Thanks for the challenge, Nancy. I had been thinking about a photo of pennycress and had extracted it and some other weeds from my photos on Thursday. I learned one of the weeds in my composite makes into biodiesel, and of course needed to get that factoid tucked onto a page. While I waited for the challenge, I played with Anna's new mm frames. For the lift, I dialed back the bright greens and screened the photo. Also, a hat tip to Helene because we both love TCC's work.
