Oscraps

An old listing of designers and the stores they are in...

Yes! I loved being on your CT too! I think my favorite kit of yours was Wisteria! I still have your kits. I should say had as my EHD they were on crashed!
I had forgotten so much from those days. I must have that kit still on an EHD around here someplace. Do you remember Debbie Bastian (I can't remember which store she owned)? After her store closed, she started selling cards, etc., on Etsy. Once I stopped selling my designs, I gave Debbie permission to continue using them on her products, and they are still selling in her Etsy store called Murfees Place. We've remained friends through the years via FB.

@bellbird Ah, okay, that site does sound more familiar to me now, thank you!! lol And I agree, I could totally see Jen Wilson fully jumping into the paper world...wherever she is, I hope she is doing well and still being her awesome creative self :heartpumplove:

@Betty Jo Awww, I am sorry that seeing that date brought up memories like that, and I am so very sorry for your loss and all you had to go through :hug1::beatingheart:

@jensurge awesome to hear you are still being creative!!! :dancingbfly:

Oh my, what an amazing list! I see my name is on there. I designed at several stores (can't even remember the names at the moment, would have to look back on my EHDs), but KB and Friends is listed for me. Katheryn Balint was my design mentor and I designed for her store too. My design name was b.j.designs. I just saw the date that article was updated, and now I'm in tears: 10-23-08. That was the month and year I stopped designing, scrapping, basically everything, as it was the month and year my husband unexpectedly passed away due to a reaction to a prescribed medication. I never returned to designing, as he was my biggest fan and encourager, but years later I came to the O on a couple of Designer teams, and now as a Cheery O. I suppose once the scrap scene is in your blood, you can't entirely get rid of it. :)
I was on KB’s design team for a while. Do we know each other?

Susie, I don't remember if we did, but that doesn't mean we didn't know each other back then. My memory of those days is poor to none. I'm just so glad we've met now here at the O! ♥

I vaguely remember that name. Does she give you a percentage of the sales with your designs?

I loved designing too. I'm an artist at heart, but, as you said, it became a job. I remember those painful times with Tim's illness and all that y'all went through. It still makes me sad, but I'm so glad you were able to go on with your life, Vicky. He would have definitely wanted that. I had absolutely no creativity in me for several years after Frank passed. His sudden death sent me into such a state of shock, I hardly remember those first few years afterwards to this day. I do however remember meeting you in person, and was so happy to have had that opportunity. ♥

Well, that list was a trip down Memory Lane! So many stores I had forgotten about. Back then I had just found Oscraps. I was on the team at Digitals and for some designers, Angie Young (still love her stuff, she was unique) and Silvia Romeo. I've been on so many teams, I don't even remember them all.

WOW!

i so love reference type things like that. . i used to collect info like that...

sad... change of computers, moving off to make room, i have no idea where most of my things are

little Red Scraps (Jane Shaver) and Mad Genius Designs (Jewel Goodwin ), did a daily christmas kit, that started me digiscraping, think back in maybe 2007 (and one of them turned me on to farmvile, i played 10-11 years)

to bad a blog never did one up to have history of things like that, stores, designers (all there diffeant names went by, year. trends (when travel notebook style immerged, when microft published was used, creative cloud came out

i miss the old days, when all layouts didn't look so professional, with fancy templates, sure intimidates a new user. humm, a forum for beginners be great
