Affordable rate for Lightroom....

I heard a rumor that it was going on sale...now to decide...Mac or laptop...then how the heck do I use it.
 
Is it difficult to learn, Nana - do you use it? and is it worth it?

I think I spend more time 'fixing' photos to my liking than doing layouts :)
 
That is a really good price for LR!

Jacqueline . . . I use LR and have since it first came out (I still use the original version). Learning curve really isn't that steep and truly, I much prefer doing my basic editing in it vs. Photoshop.

Wondering if they are going to release LR4 this year? Anyone know? Will probably upgrade if they do (I plan on upgrading to CS6 when they release it later this Spring).

LR 4 Beta is now out so imagine it will be released soon - they always have sales on older versions right before new releases.....

it is soooo tempting.

If you're tempted to save money on 3 but don't want to regret waiting to buy 4 . . . see if you can figure out what the difference between the two is and base your decision on that. If you can live without the upgrades, whatever they would be, then save the money and buy 3.

That's what I do when it comes to PS. I presently use CS3 and have been fine choosing not to upgrade to 4, 5, and 5.5. HOWEVER . . . CS6 has a stinking DEBLURRING tool that I know I absolutely CANNOT live without! So I plan on buying it when it comes out. :grin: :grin:

Regardless of what you decide, I promise you'll LOVE LR! :grin:

Adobe had it on sale for $99 (for Valentines and it might still be-not sure about that) and then Adorama gave Clickin Moms another $20 off of that so it was $79 all together!!! I just saw that today (a day too late) because I was too busy to go on there today and nosey around! Darn that would've been a great deal for people if I had caught it in time to tell everyone! Even at $99!!
