ACDSee Users - What do you do for alphas??

After a hideous database crash, I've upgraded and am starting my organizing from scratch (ugh!). Wendy and I have been talking about the best way to organize alphas. I have a ton and I was previously just tagging the uppercase and lowercase A plus the number 1. However, this didn't really show enough of a cross-section of the alpha. Wendy does A B C, a b c, 1 2 3 and some punctuation. I'm trying to get some ideas before I tackle my 3 gazillion alphas. Tell me what you do!

I'll be interested to see what people say. I'm finally getting Adobe CS3 put back on my computer Friday, so I'm hoping that Bridge can help me out. Or something. =)

I usually just tag the preview with as much description as I can- color, style, subject etc.
If there is no preview, I tag the A, a, 1.

If you are finding that this doesn't work, you can create a contact sheet and then tag that.
(This is from memory, so I hope the directions are clear enough)
Select all files, Create Contact Sheet. Save file in that folder. You can then tag that contact sheet. Use the "Go to File" command to get to the actual alpha files.
