5 quick questions about movies

Just for fun - here are 5 quick questions about movies.

ONE RULE:
you have to pick ONE movie for each question - no "this one or this one" - just ONE movie (or the Gremlins will come and eat you after midnight!)

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
2. What movie made you cry the most?
3. What is the most underrated movie?
4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarressed about liking?
5. What's your favorite Disney movie?

I'd love to hear some motivations to your answers if you have extra time, but just the movies name is enough if you prefer.

And - why not make a layout with your answers? Totally not a requirement, just an idea for a layout.

Since I am an enabler - here are some stuff in the store that you could use:

Here are my own answers.

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
Salo.
Trust me. I've seen it - there is ABSOLUTELY no need for anyone else to do it! It's DISGUSTING and HORRIBLE. It's supposed to be "art", but it's just pervert crap. To be honest, my first comment was that the director should be killed - then I learned someone already done that *oops*

2. What movie made you cry the most?
E.T.
My friend and I cried so much at the cinema, that we started laughing. I couldn't see cuz my glasses got all blurry.

3. What is the most underrated movie?
Idiocracy.
It's a comedy, but it's not that funny really, and I guess that's why it's not that popular. But, to be honest, it's the best prediction of the future that I've ever seen.

4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarressed about liking?
Pretty Woman.
I love all rom coms, but ... a story about a hooker getting the rich guy ... it's not really, really nice, is it?!

5. What's your favorite Disney movie?
Aristocats.
You all probably gonna hate me now, but I am not a fan of Disney. Way too sad all the time, and often quite crappy stories. But Aristocats caught my heart when I was a kid. I mean - cats - what can go wrong?

I'm going to come back to this one later when I have more time to think about my answers. I like your layout idea too.

Just one? No Bueno, you're mean :p

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen? 8 mm. I saw it on a kinda-sorta date back in University and it was seriously the worst. It was about them trying to find someone making snuff films (porn movies where someone dies), but basically was just too raunchy and gross. Ugh!

2. What movie made you cry the most? 50/50. It was meant to be a comedy I think? It's about a guy with cancer who goes into a surgery and has "50/50" odds of making it. I was going through a rough time medically at the time, with a 'tumor' of my own (benign it turned out) and one part of the movie is him hyperventilating about not waking up from surgery and I felt that to my core, before my surgery to take out my ovary/mass I was terrified I wouldn't wake up. So I bawled and bawled.

3. What is the most underrated movie? The Mating Habits of the Earthbound human (a hilarious satire of dating, in a fake documentary style. I haven't seen it since Uni but I remember thinking it was brilliant)

4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarrassed about liking? 13 Going on 30.

5. What's your favorite Disney movie? Frozen

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen? Without a doubt - The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu! I was such a Peter Sellers fan and this movie was THE biggest bust of all time for me.
2. What movie made you cry the most? There were several, but Terms of Endearment was a real tear jerker.
3. What is the most underrated movie? The Big Chill - w/o a doubt!
4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarressed about liking? Father of The Bride
5. What's your favorite Disney movie? The Lion King

I am going to answer as best as I can right now, BUT I am reserving my right to edit and update as I think about it more. ;)

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen? I think I blocked the specific movie from my head but I know there was one we watched in the last year or so that when it was over we all looked at each other and said that was 2 hours we will never get back.
2. What movie made you cry the most? I Am Legend. I was watching it with my family and I had to get up and leave. I was uncontrollably sobbing, utterly hysterical, and if you have seen the movie, you know the scene.
3. What is the most underrated movie? Dogma. brilliant movie!
4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarrassed about liking?
Gone with The Wind. I haven't seen it in a long time and it use to be my favorite. I loved how tough Scarlett was. Looking back, I feel a bit squeamish about it
5. What's your favorite Disney movie? That is tough! I have a few but I am going with Lion King (for now.)

Amending my Disney choices:
First time frame (classic): The Jungle Book - the soundtrack slaps!
Second period (renewal/VHS): The Lion King
Third New Gen Animation: Moana

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen? The Last Airbender. Now let me be clear, this is not in any way a reflection of the Nickelodeon TV series. If this was about TV, I'd list the series as most underrated. However, I as far as I am concerned, M. Night Shyamalan should never be permitted to work in Hollywood again.
2. What movie made you cry the most? The Fox and the Hound. The way the relationship of the fox and the hound is destroyed just guts me every time.
3. What is the most underrated movie? Tokyo Drift. This movie is pure fun and the music is awesome. I know some fans of the Fast & Furious series hate it but it was my introduction to the series and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarrassed about liking? 8 Seconds. It's not that I'm embarrassed that I like it. I'm embarrassed at how much l liked it when it first came out. I think I saw it like 11 or 12 times the year after it was released. It wasn't that good. lol
5. What's your favorite Disney movie? This was the hardest because I seriously love me some Disney movies. I finally decided on The Love Bug because I still think about it all these years later. It has stood the test of time for me.

Fox and the Hound and Old Yeller were banned in my house for those reasons. I don't know if either of my kids have seen them to this day.

They actually showed Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows to us in school. What were they thinking?

Hi, I think this is great. I’ll try & answer without an essay.

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
Titanic. I‘m so sorry, I know this is a beloved film but I spend the whole movie going ‘sink sink sink” in my head. I loved the actual sinking part, it was amazing.

2. What movie made you cry the most?
Philadelphia I still cry, maybe more. The Madam Butterfly scene was so melancholy & sad. Tom Hanks blew that scene out of the water.

3. What is the most underrated movie?
The life aquatic with steve zissou. Even in the context of Wes Anderson it’s not usually a movie that is mentioned. I love the quirkiness & the amazing eye for details. Also quick list of why no particular order - Jacques Cousteau, Bill Murray, the rest of the main cast, David Bowie sound track, clothing, ocean, weird fish, story, writing, weird stilted acting, humour

4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarressed about liking?
Commando Honestly I don’t get embarrassed by movies I like. Unless it’s Salo (joking! Haven’t seen it). The over the top 80s action movie, probably not the worst but is pretty terrible. There are some super sexist lines in it that are so terrible they cross over into funny. Arnie 4 Eva!

5. What's your favorite Disney movie?
Fantasia. Since Disney owns nearly everything so my mind went to Marvel, lol, though then thought maybe stick to the spirit of the question. Honestly I never really enjoyed Disney (Titanic & now this confession, I promise I don’t hurt puppies for fun) movies even as as a kid. The only one that I remember liking was Fantasia.

Thanks!

These are just what I can think of at the moment, not a very good memory either.

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen? Papillon may not be the worst, but we just recently watched it and kept wishing they'd hurry up and escape so the movie would end. And I love Steve McQueen.
2. What movie made you cry the most? I cry at movies but try not to remember, so this one is a blank for me but maybe Winter's Bone.
3. What is the most underrated movie? The King of Hearts. I saw this when new in 1966 and it just faded away while I loved it. Then it later became a "cult classic."
4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarrassed about liking? Juliet of the Spirits. There are such deep Fellini movies but I've always adored this colorful fantasy with his wife.
5. What's your favorite Disney movie? I've not seen that many, so maybe Fantasia (or Pirates of the Caribbean for more modern stuff). I've thought I might like to see Cars and Frozen, but haven't.

I notice these are almost all really old!

1. What is the worst movie you've ever seen?
The Perfect Storm with George Clooney. We watched it on New Years Eve when it first came out and I didn't realize that it was not going to be a "happy ending" kind of movie. I was so frustrated and feeling bad at the end that I just sat there, shaking my head, muttering, nooooo, how could it end this way? I've never forgotten and to this day we still laugh about my response at the end. Had it not been NYE I probably wouldn't have reacted so strongly but I like to keep the mood happy, positive, on that night and that was definitely the wrong movie.

2. What movie made you cry the most?
Probably Titanic. I was a blubbering mess at the end of that.

3. What is the most underrated movie?
Hubs and I both really enjoyed "Escape Room". I love movies that keep you guessing all the way through.

4. What movie do you like, but are a bit embarressed about liking?
I can't think of a movie but as for a series, maybe "South Park" b/c I am the only one in my family that watches it and loves it.

5. What's your favorite Disney movie?
Right now, I'd say "Artemis Fowl" as we just recently saw it and loved the graphics in it. Plus it was a great memory, having a family night with Bailey.
