Done for the January 2022 Font Challenge Journaling reads: Ilene and I began work on one of the puzzles she got for Christmas. It took us all afternoon just to get the border in place! Even at that, we still have a few pieces that are missing or not in the right place!

After a very difficult 2020 our mum found a new home in a nearby residential care center. It took a while before she felt at home but with new friends and lots of things to do she is very happy. This picture is taken on Christmas day to wish all of our family a merry christmas and a happy 2022.

The only non-traditional technique used here was using a gradient mask to blend the photo over the background. The rest is simply layering the elements until they looked right.
