This was a nice place to sit and watch birds feeding on a snowy afternoon.
I applied the photo with a burn blend mode to take advantage of the texture in the paper and duplicated it at 50% opacity.

We haven't had much snow and winter has been pretty gentle but today is different and the birds really flock to the feeder.

Weather here is not so fine. I'm supposed to be at the computer genealogy meeting, but it is across town and the conditions are awful. When I got up there was snow, it was 27, but it was sleeting. Then the wind picked up and it looked terrible, so I called and said I wasn't coming. Now it's just...
I must read a really different set of books to those who post here what they read. Aside from genealogy stuff I read tons of mysteries. Recently read the latest FBI K-9 series book by Sara Driscoll. I think all the dog lovers would enjoy them if they like mysteries.
Felis, we just have to keep each other going! But what will we do if 2018 ever gets done? I do understand why this Christmas one didn't feel right in July.
This orchid has brought us such excitement and beauty. DH is a wonder with it.

I haven't done a word of the year in a while and DO might not quite qualify, but I've begun to think it's what I need to keep in mind.

Felis, sure hope you get around to finishing. I think it will feel good.
Meanwhile, I want to celebrate with the assembly of the last page for 2018 - but I still have to put the writing on two October pages. For this one I got help from the current AnnaLift and posted there.
A challenge helped put together this last missing week for 2018. I do remember lots of this as an interesting time.

Crazy day here, gray and windy, and...in the 60s! It will cool off, but this is nuts. Football games on TV this afternoon and evening and I've got a pot roast in the crockpot. Finally took down most decorations yesterday, but then there were never that many. When I got up yesterday the first bud...
We were very happy with this Thanksgiving visitor. A Red-shouldered Hawk has perched there before, but never for a long time.

Yesterday I left the car in the drive when I got home thinking we'd go out later, but later we decided to stay in and surprise, the world had turned white and I had to scrape it off the car to put it in the garage. But today we have lots of birds at the feeder and it is warming back up. Lots to...
Just a quick HI before heading off to the meeting. It's another gray day, but it's above freezing and no snow, both good things.
Chris, birds (and I'm sure other critters) do odd things when stressed. I think it's called displacement behavior. Maybe that's what happened with the earbuds. And...
