All that gold kind of boxed me in to a square layout no matter what I did, but by finally shuffling my SIL in his orange coat and the breakfast photo into the framed masks of the template, I was able to at least break up the gold and live with the layout. Some layouts just do NOT come easily...

What a wonderful idea! Bracketing the family with the girls in dresses is really grounding. That's an intense shovel! And the landscape is certainly offering so many new opportunities for imagination in new directions. Good to have some constants, too, though, like red pants to honor Dr. Seuss. When are you going to start surfing lessons LOL!

I really like what you've done with the shapes on this page and how the textures amplify them. It's a great background for a heritage page. And watch out for my youngest daughter in that rabbit hole! She dives into it periodically.

Love the overlapping verticals and the soft curves at top and bottom. That's an awesome way to treat a photo!
