    Inscribed with its Story

I have lots of photos of the tracks and lichens on a dead branch that fell off one of our trees the other day. I find them fascinating, and DH saved it for me knowing I would.

Vicky, They are different, but Ancestry has a tremendous amout of data. MyHeritage has a more international focus and subscibers. The free FamilySearch dot org is huge and not to be overlooked. Subscription sites are not cheap. Public libraries often have access (in the library) to Ancestry...

    Daily Ooos: Monday, October 24

Christmas is coming . . . We're in a little bubble of sunny, warm weather, but the poinsettia has been getting red leaves for about a week. For @felis here is one of them.

    Rebloom

Though I grew up in an iris-growing family, I don't remember anything about iris that rebloom in the fall until pretty recently. This year a lovely white one and a pretty yellow iris both put on an autumn show in the little garden outside the senior center. So welcome in this oddly cool season.

Do You Have Any Celebrities on Your Tree?

Mine don't. My Mayflower line people left New England in the late 1600s to settle in New Jersey. That limited my New England connections.

    No coffee - no morning...

I say tea, but most days it's really tisane, the "correct" name of herbal teas. Also juice. I don't get caffeine until later in the day with diet Coke.

    Just spreading a little cheer.....

I'm into Christmas planning already. I'm going to do a new H&S book for DH (did one in 2016), have picked two other items I want to get him. So just getting them without his knowing, picking one more, actually DOING the new book, and then gifts for BiL and the evil cat. That's about it for me.

Help Me Find a Kit for our Anniversary Pictures!!

I wonder if you'd consider using the colors of the flowers and the tie and let the red dress be the beautiful contrast. If you did that, the September Color Play might work, using whichever pieces appeal to you.

    Celebrating 50 Years

We had a fun party for my parents 50th anniversary back in 1980. I only have small print of the photos now really discolored but got a scan of this one restored at MyHeritage, a subscription genealogy website.
