    Do You Scrap Your Genealogy?

Ha ha I have only 1 daughter. She is well into her 40's. May not happen. Nieces and nephews are the same and only one has kids. Oh well the album is done. After I am gone they can do what they like with it. I had fun..

    Rooting for the forgotten goodies...

When I am creating an album for someone else, I will haul out my older kits especially if the page/album is for a baby or men. When completing CT work... well you know the expectations. If my page is for a challenge I will mix kits from a certain designer or mix designers using the older kits.

    Starting a new layout

I pretty much follow the same path as Kay(Bright Eyes) as I too have been scrapping as a CT for a long time. Most often it is the colour palette of a kit that attracts me first then I search for one of the gazillion photos I have that the palette would complement. (I use public Domain sites to...

    Do You Scrap Your Genealogy?

I have completed my family history from 1877 to present day and have been lucky enough to have photos from the late 1800's. I do have documentation from earlier days which I have scrapped. Unfortunately none of the younger generation is interested.

    Photoless pages

I don't have difficulty creating such a page however, I don't really think my thoughts are particularly interesting enough for anyone to want to read it. If I do a page for a challenge, I usually ditch it from my computer, not because I don't like the end product, but because it really doesn't...

Oh yes! This shows how versatile one can be combining the two pages. I absolutely adore the vertical tower and the soft circle framing the woman. Stunning work. Thanks for joining the challenge.

Oh, what an excellent idea to use the journal entry as a vertical line echoing the strips of papers. The circular frame draws the eye straight to the image. So well composed. Thanks for joining the challenge and giving a unique version.

How do you create word art and clusters?

WA I start on a blank page. Add the quote/title with each word or phrase on a separate layer all in the same type. Place the words where it appeals to you. Once I have the words in place I play with fonts, sizes, bold and sometimes colour. The word/s I want to focus on are usually bold, script...

That circular frame and cluster is exquisite. It truly enhances the colour of the building. A title with 2 fonts creates more interest. Love this. Thanks for joining the challenge.

Brrr, your page perfectly reflects the intensity of the cold. I love that you kept it rustic by using a vertical wood background and a free form photo mask. Thanks for joining in the challenge. Keep those fingers warm!

Nicely done composition. The photos are great and what a cutey. I bet she felt really special. I had the same experience with my daughter. Sewed everything up until grade 2 then it wasn't so special then. The only thing I sewed after that were her Synchro competition swimming suits.
