This is an extraction of a pedestrian blended into a background photo. The inspiration comes from Leonid Afremov who painted in bold colours. I noticed that many of his paintings looked like wet rainy scenes so, as I come from the 'wet coast" of Canada I thought it only fitting to do a rainy day...
I dug around the fantastic kits by Foxeysquirrel and found some great products for this challenge.
Lots of layering and blending to get the image I liked.
April is here and Easter is on its way so how about some bunnies to get started! Check out the requirements for this challenge in the forum.
I used the 3rd column free choice(frame), photo mat and border to complete my page
LOL I can hardly remember yesterday let alone 69 years ago..... Just kidding. One of my first memories is just before we moved to BC from Alberta. I was under three and had long hair in ringlets. My dad used to tease me and sing the song with the phrase "... and her hair hung down in ringlets."...
I really hadn't thought about it.lol I choose colours based mostly on the kit palette or image being used. That being said, I think I tend toward the earth tones and 'fall' colours.
What a lovely calm and peaceful spot. Beautifully blended which makes the bird images stand out. Well done. Thanks for joining the Color Play Challenge 4.
(you accidentally put this in ch 3 gallery rather than ch4. lol;))
That text could apply to so many different events. What a great open ended statement. I like the elder woman image which gives it a sense of wisdom and experience. A stellar page. Thanks for adding such a thought provoking page to the challenge.
I rarely use either. I start from scratch 98% of the time. I prefer the freedom of a blank page and an vision of what I want to do starting with either the image or the kit.
It is so nice to hear the songs and chatter of birds once again as spring is arrives. This page with its perfect photos and title work is stellar. Thanks for joining the challenge.
Whoa! Super news about the honour of inclusion in the Gallery Standout Blog. An excellent page all around. Thanks for adding your page to the challenge.
