This photo was taken near a small town in the New England district not far from where my mothers family all grew up. The landscape here has a natural serene beauty but is surrounded by a rugged mountain range where tourists go canyoning, mountain biking, birdwatching and trout fishing...

I'm having fun with Adryane's challenge and Anna's templates. Journaling - a quote by Charles Dickens. Here was Rome indeed at last; and such a Rome as no one can image in its full and awful grandeur! We wandered out upon the Appian Way, and then went on, through miles of ruined tombs...

Thanks for the inspiration, Adryane. This is the historical heart of Sydney known as The Rocks. Its home to our oldest buildings. The harbour is a stones throw away. The bridge and the Opera House right there on the doorstep. There is lots to see: great restaurants, wonderful museums...
