My MIL with three of her great-grandkids (my grands). I did some recoloring and blending to coordinate with the photo. For the photo frame, I used a paper piece from the Collab HOPE. All supplies except paint are by AFT.
A precious reunion between my sister and mom - just one day before Mother's Day. They had not been together in person for well over a year. The colors of the "It's About Time" kit were perfect for my photo!
My granddaughters are two years apart in age and rarely get a chance to play soccer together in a real game. With Covid quarantines leaving the older team short, younger sis Liv got a chance to play with her big sis Nina. It was a win, despite the fact that they lost the game.
Easter 2021 - Brunch at my daughter's home with about 20 family members. The Happy Easter title is made from a picture of the chalk art that my daughter had drawn on their driveway. I clipped the photo to artwork from The Bunny Trail and used recoloring and a hard blending mode - I love the effect!
A favorite pic from nearly a decade ago - these grandkids are now 12, 13, and 12! They had so much fun sliding through the clothes chute from the upstairs bathroom into the laundry room. For me, it was much more fun to catch kids rather than dirty laundry!!
I don't have a lot of pix of just my oldest sister and me, but I love this one! We were in Paris and enjoying a Halloween celebration. It truly was our time to shine!
We topped the traditional Ice Cream cake from DQ with a ring of plastic horses - the perfect complement for granddaughter Nina's horse-themed 12th birthday!
Of course the characters of "Schitt's Creek" became birthday memes! Like most friends my age, birthdays are met with mixed emotions - I choose to find humor if possible!
I was drawn to look closer when you said you celebrated in Port Washington, WI. I live only about 30 minutes from Port! I like the textured background - lots of interest, but still allows the photo and quote to be the stars. Nicely done!
Journaling:
I’m writing this in 2021, but in 1984 I thought it was funny that mom was “so old!” Now that I am almost ten years past this “limit,” and mom is 91, 55 seems really very young! It’s all your perspective I guess..
I kept thinking that I was not crazy about the Wordart in a frame for my original layout, so I re-worked it a bit. I welcome any comments - better? or keep the original?
