Thanks much for the standing O and being featured in the blog @pachimac. You're close on the statue = time passing. The action figure is a Dr. Who "Weeping Angel." If you get touched by one, you get zapped back to some random time in the distant past. Ever since I treated myself to the frivolous...

I decided to work on clipping and layering things onto and over a big title. And it isn't December unless I get to use my weeping angel in a LO <gr>. Thanks for the challenge and inspiration.

Thanks for the challenge Adryane. Anna's contribution to the Oscraps collab Merry and Bright already had the colors. I just had to figure out how to make the bottom two photos, which were originally bright blue and hot pink fit into the color scheme.
This LO will be the BG for our 2023 holiday letter. Everything is from Anna's contribution to the Oscraps Collab Merry and Bright - just rearranged and recolored a bit. The Santa is Roman Diaz's Pyramid Santa Claus
Most wonderful time of the year
It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to...
I love that angel! It's one of the statues at Chartres you can see pretty well without binoculars and I enjoyed sketching it a few years ago. But I didn't realize until now that it's a sundial - thanks for the lovely and enlightening image.
Here's the quotation by Suzy Kassem:
I have been finding treasures in places I did not want to search. I have been hearing wisdom from tongues I did not want to listen. I have been finding beauty where I did not want to look. And I have learned so much from journeys I did not want to take.
