For the background, I combined three different pages. The bottom layer is a paper with blue and yellow paint along the bottom. The layer above that is a painty light blue paper with the blend mode set to darker color. The top layer is a light colored paper with a painty border with yellow, red and stamps. The blend mode is set to Darker Color. I also used the underlying layer slider to determine how much of the paper shows on the page.
Each different brush shape is on it's own layer and the underlying slider was used on each layer to give it more realism.
The forward tag was added because I felt the message really applied to my word of the year.
