Teddy

Meet Teddy.

Journaling: This is Teddy. As a child, Teddys imagination was boundless. At one time or another, he re-imagined most of his toys and games. He modified his rocking horse so that it was more of a rocking frog with head propeller. Then there was his idea for insect BINGO. Instead of wooden chips, he liked to use insects to cover the spots but the insects were not particularly cooperative, flying off in all directions or inching over to the wrong spot. Have you ever heard of a fly wheel? Teddy had a misimpression of that item and tried to create a fish wheel. The smell proved intolerable after a few days but it gave Teddy the idea for little beads he could attach to his wheel spokes. As an adult, Teddys imagination continued to soar. He worked for Matel in its heyday and was on staff in 1959 for the launch of Barbie. He also saw the introduction of Chatty Cathy in 1960, the talking doll the revolutionized the toy industry.

Note: Teddy used plastic fish tails! He just had a very active imagination.

Thanks for looking :)
Process...
I started with the MM Postage Frames because I was going to do a page for last week's AnnaLift but this took me too long. I masked a copy of a BINGO card behind the frames. I clipped paper, the domino and the rocking horse to the frame masks. I also added a copy of the rocking horse over the frames then masked out part of it. The frog brush is added behind all of the frames. I added the wheels after finding the photo of Teddy holding just a wooden wheel! I tried to use elements that I thought would support the journaling. The journaling was added at the end and moved around quite a bit to try to get it to fit without having it weigh down the page too much.

No need for television or reading tonight...you've satisfied my evening entertainment quota! Delightful journaling, art, and success story for Teddy!

I dont know who has a better imagination, you or Teddy. It always blows my mind how you put seemingly unrelated objections together to create such wonderful pages that always entertain.

Ditto what Barbara said. It's always a treat to find all the hidden goodies in your fabulous art.

Your art is pure genius! Loved reading about Teddy's imagination of play. Playing insect Bingo with live bugs...took some patiences. :)

Agree with Barbara both your imagination, Teddy's and yours is genius !!!
