Snowglobe

Documenting a sleepover with my son and granddaughter--she had made me a snowglobe drawing, and as luck would have it, it matched almost identically the snowglobe I had left out on the dining room table. We had fun comparing, and also examining my collection of vintage glass Christmas ornaments. It was a calculated risk letting a 2-year old handle those ornaments, but there was much to be gained in going with it and I'm happy to report every single one survived...and I think the lesson about "trust" sunk in.

This was a strange layout for me in that the template I'd chosen came with a cool wood frame built into the photo mask, and right up until the end I was working two versions of this layout—one with the wood frame, one without. In the end (and I surprised myself here) the more stripped down version (the one without the frame) won out. What turned the tide was me loving the Artsy Paper augmented by an Artsy Transfer so much that I couldn't bear to cover it up.

That photo of your hands and Harper's hands carefully handling the ornament is special. Beautiful colors.

Love the perspective of Harper looking up at the camera. You are so good with using bold colors and blending. (Glad the experience was fun and a bonding one). Excellent extraction, too!
