Dressed in his HBT (Herringbone Twill) coveralls, Dad is standing on a roof somewhere in Tokyo. I suspect the building is the Far East Command Headquarters building from the previous page. The HBT coveralls were extremely versatile and comfortable. The buttons on these coveralls were unique. They contained 13 stars, one for each of the original colonies.
Billeting:
Dad had it made while he was in Tokyo. He was billeted in a hotel. Not only did they have valets who did their laundry and kept their rooms ready for inspection. They ate in dining rooms complete with tablecloths, china, and waiters. Not at all like a mess hall stateside.
