myosotis.jpg

There is a legend about this plant, dating from the Middle Ages.
A knight picked up a boot of myosotis to offer to his beloved
but fell into the water and sank, driven by the weight of his armor.
Before drowning, he quickly threw the flowers at the thethe princess, shouting,
"Don't forget me."

Aww what a sad story I have myosotis ... forget-me-nots they are a darker blue and spread like weeds I love them but hubby get's fed up of them having to pull them up when have finshed flowering we had a starling bird the other day it took part of the plant with him it will make a pretty bed of flowers in the nest if it grows....I love how you framed yours and added them into a cluster.x

Beautiful page and love the legend of the Forget Me Nots! Also love the muted blues!

Magnifique page Nicole. Le myosotis fait partie de mes petites fleurs préférées, en plus cela me rappelle des souvenirs d'enfance. Je ne connaissais pas cette légende.
