Am going to get this started but don’t know how far I’ll get. Wrote a letter to Daddy & one to Mom & I am pushing my luck on thinking I’ll be able to finish a 3rd. Paul’s due to wake up from his nap & the older two want to go outside. I have so many letters to write I just got to push a little more.
Gee, you’ll never know how happy we are for you both on your big deal Bruno. It’s just too breathtaking for words. It’s just wonderful & I can’t think of anyone who I’d rather see have it. I’m sitting here spending your money for you but I’m sure you can very well do that for yourselves.
Anything that I have to say from here seems so trivial compared to your news but I’ll tell you anyway.
Things are shaping up very nicely in the apt. We got our rug a week ago & I sure like it. It’s a 12x12, beige, all wool, real thick with foam rubber pad. I kinda thought the color was a little light but Jack said he’d keep it clean for me. It was on sale. Sure makes a big difference in here with a rug down. Did I also tell you we bought a Sandran linoleum rug for the dining room, 9x12. Both rugs fit almost wall to wall. Our kitchen is awfully small. Hardly worth mentioning. No we haven’t gotten the hutch yet. Really haven’t found anything we really like. Jack also wants to get a dining room table & six chairs to match when we get the hutch so that takes a little more concentrated effort & hard cash. Our two sets [of dishes are still packed…]
I see you are doing some reuse of page design with these letters - great idea and great job! Great photo - I remember my baby brother's crib (which was mine and my older brother's before me) looking like that.
I hope your family appreciates that you are sharing with them such an important item as the letters. These are so very personal and detailed... a peep into your mom's thoughts.

Since these letters are going in a book. I wanted some way to connect each separate letter within the larger context. My thought was that I could visually link the pages of the letters if I kept the same basic page design for the entire letter.
