Lake Louise is located 170 miles Northwest of Anchorage off Alaska Hwy 1. In 1955 the Air Force and Army obtained a recreation site on Lake Louise. The site was operated by the Personal Services Office at Elmendorf AFB.
Mom & Dad loved going to Lake Louise. We camped there several times. The site was damaged in the 1964 earthquake and closed in 1965.
