We had only been in our house for a couple of months when my birthday was coming up quickly. I wasnt asking Gary for any gifts, since we just bought a house! One day, he was late coming home from work. When I saw his car pull in, I gave a huge sigh of relief. Then, it turned into yelps of surprise and joy! He brought home the sweetest puppy as my birthday present. She had been a stray dog, and was at the local shelter. He had to wait a week before he could bring her home. Little did he know that she would become one of my best friends, ever.
