Following a local recipe, Lazaris Distillery & Artisan Sweets produce the famous drink of Corfu, kumquat liqueur. They also make traditional Corfiot sweets. Kumquat is a citrus tree, with origins from China and Japan. It is extensively grown in Corfu for private and commercial consumption for almost a centur. At the Lazaris Distillery we were able to sample the different liqueurs and candies. It was all just too sweet for me.
