I really don’t like football. And now I’m expressing myself mildly.
It dominates the TV screen and takes over every channel, especially on weekends. Men act like it’s extremely important, as if the outcome of a game has any real impact on their lives. It’s shocking to see how it influences their moods and behaviors.
Football even takes over conversations. Everywhere you go, people are talking about the latest match, the best players, and the controversial refereeing decisions. It’s constantly on TV, with endless replays, analysis, and talk shows.
It’s even ingrained in our culture that boys are almost expected to play football from a young age, as if it’s a rite of passage.
It’s a silly sport of men chasing a ball and then kicking it away again. There are so many other sports that are more engaging and complex to watch. Sports that require more strategy, skill, or have a richer history. Yet, football remains the dominant force, overshadowing everything else. It’s hard to understand why this sport holds such power over people’s lives when there are clearly more interesting options out there.
