My favorite Uncle died last week. He was my last connection to parents generation. And he's been my "father" since mine died when I was 30. We shared a love of the English language, especially a fondness for unique words, an avid interest in our familys heritage, and a passion for cookies (me baking them, him eating them). I will sorely miss him.

While in this photo he looks like a young, handsome brooding Swede, he was the nicest man ever. I think he looks a little like David Bowie, but my favorite photog thinks he kinda looks like James Dean.

Process notes:
I used SolidPaper No. 3 as my base. I placed my photo and a Camera FotoBlendz and clipped them together, masking out the rough edges. I duplicated the photo twice using the screen mode @ 87%. I duplicated it again, placed it above the clipped photo and ghosted it back to 50% opacity. I placed several transfers behind the photo, creating a frame effect. I placed more transfers to the background to add more dimension. Text was the final accent.
