Peter Henry Donkers was born in Holland in1877. Together with his family they immigrated to the U.S. when Peter was 11. The family settled in Minnesota and started dairy farming. Peter graduated from Valpariso College in Indiana and returned home and purchased Brown Business College which he ran until 1913 when he started dairy farming. He organized and was President of the Faribault Creamery Association. In 1915 he married Nell Donahue. They had three children, the oldest being my father.
