I had to do a page for Gracie this week, as she is fighting for her life right now, having been attacked by a coyote. The vet stitched her up the best they could, and now it is up to her to make it through. Unfortunately she has used some of her nine lives already, as this is not her first attack, and until recently she kept to the safety of staying behind the bars of the dog kennels on the ranch, with bars which she knew the coyotes could not make it through, but it seems she slowly forgot the dangers, and began venturing out more and more. Her owners tried to have her be an inside cat, but she was not happy.

Journaling reads: Gracie happened to end up on Pattis ranch despite the fact that it is totally gated. She proved to be more than just an ordinary cat, so much so that I would dare anyone to not fall in love with her. She came running whenever she saw you, and if given the chance, she would be in your lap. She loved the horses as well, often lounging in their paddocks, with Dusty quick to rub her with his nose if she walked by.

The Process: I began with an artsy paper from AP Wilderness. I added the photo frame, and attached the photograph to its mask. I then duplicated the Artsy Paper, and placed it on top of the photo and frames, and used a gradient mask so that it covered just the right of the frame. I then painted in the background photo, using a watercolor brush. I added the alpha, changing its color, added the word art, and the feather charm and capture tag, as well as a number of transfers and brushes. I finished up by adding one of the new Stained Edge Overlays,
