Read in an article in DN yesterday, that in Sweden alone, 650.000 piglets are killed to become Christmas hams. They have lived for 6 months, with the only purpose to die by Christmas. In the same article, it's estimated that about 90 billion animals are killed in the world every year, just to become food for humans.
