I moved the bird feeders closer to the window and out of the wind. The benefit to me- I feel like I can reach out and touch the birds. They bring me great joy. The benefit to them, I can more easily keep the feeders full.

This is a great page. We have a bird that looks kinda like this that tries to feed from the humming bird feeder. Wonder if it's the same kind of bird. He doesn't do to well at the feeder, but he does scare the hummingbirds away.

Beautiful pictures, I grow cone flowers by the house just so I can watch the birds eat the seeds from them in the fall.
