Everyday Journey

Created for the March 2018 52 Inspirations challenge https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36126 using 52 Inspirations 2018 No. 4, https://www.oscraps.com/shop/52-Inspirations-2018-no-4-by-Vicki-Stegall.html 52 Inspirations 2018 No 7 https://www.oscraps.com/shop/52-2018-no-7.html and 52 Inspirations 2018 No 8 https://www.oscraps.com/shop/52-2018-no-8.html from Vicki Stegall and Black Water Overlays https://www.oscraps.com/shop/Black-Water-Page-Overlays.html from Crafty Button Designs. Fonts are DearKatieNBP and Avenir.

The background was created by layering three papers together. The bottom layer is a green painty paper. I added an orange painty paper and set that to Darker Color and clipped a brown paper to the Black Water Overlay.

The photo is actually two copies of the photo. The large photo was set to Pin Light blend mode. I loved the way it blended with the background but did not give enough emphasis to my sweet babies. So I created a copy of the photo and extracted the dogs as best I could so you could see them better. I used a gradient fill on a layer mask at the top and bottom of the large photo to better blend it with the background.

(My babies are not wearing muzzles. Those are gentle leaders. Even at 12 (Sanosuke, the black dog) and 14 (Sazume, the white dog) they can pull like freight trains. I could never walk both dogs by myself without those gentle leaders.)
I know that we have discussed this before, but I am always so happy to see positive posts about what the Gentle Leaders are and to see them on such well behaved dogs- even if they like to pull. As soon as our weather warms up (if it ever does!) I am going to take Whisky to the feed store to get her one too. :) Now for your LO, the blended papers have such a great effect of color and texture- and of course, I love your dogs!

My grand-dog wears a version of the gentle leader but it is part of his harness and clips around his front legs. I know all about dogs that love to explore (read "pull")! Awesome documentation of a very special routine.
