ESHAS-9

I used at least 11 items from Challenge Kit (Thanks Anna!) Anagallis is a lovely annual with an abundance of small bright flowers that just keep coming all summer. This one is called Wildcat Mandarin. Its a good container plant that drapes nicely. My summer story is definitely one of enjoying the garden, planting, tending, and harvesting kales, chards, orach, beans, peas, squashes and pumpkins, lettuces and other greens, herbs, and anything else wild I find to graze on. Eating daily from my garden really keeps me connected to all the good energies of the earth and sky, and always grateful.
I look at this and just relate so much. This is the first year I am growing grains! Yes, grains! (Enough, probably for about two pancakes LOL!) Love your ghosting of the image for the background... Thanks so much for joining us in our summer challenge!

Best grain (a complete protein, too) is Quinoa. Not sure if you in NY and me in Seattle can grow it successfully; I tried once but think the area was too shady. Quinoa is grown primarily in the Andes. Enjoy your two pancakes! they will be spectacular!
