For my layout:
I started with the out of bounds frame. I clipped my photo. I use two different sizes of masks to frame my photo. I also added brushes One under the photo letting see it through a bit to make my page more artistic and I added a couple of more for framing. I deleted part of the background of the solid paper using the watercolorblending brushes I did the same with the photo. I also use the tile styles with some elements.
