Seine River
This month's material felt very challenging.
It took me a while to find a good photo to practice with,
and I ended up choosing a photo I took in March.
It was back when my husband and I were visiting Paris,
when we were waiting for a red light so we could cross the street.
A boat happened to show up in the river,
so I decided to take a photo of it.
The sky that day was cloudy, rainy, just entirely gray, making the photo totally different from the teaching material.
My goal was to use original material to complete the work,
so I spent a lot of time in the adjustment mode tweaking the opacity, color, and brush.
Maybe all of that effort is why I felt so accomplished when I finished.
