Anniver5ary ARTChallenge: 1945

Since I don't have any family photos (mine were lost in a move), I tend to "borrow" photos from friends and family. I like to think the people in the snaps are my "imaginary" family. I snagged this photo off FacebookI think it's my 2nd cousin's father-in-law. But I loved that he was cuddling with his pup while serving his country in a foreign land.

Used all the goodies is the Annive5ary freebie and a 12x12 overlay.

Thanks for looking.
Love where you put the 5. All the awesome layering, beautiful work and I'm so sorry to hear about your family photos.

Christy, this Lo is wonderful and I love the photo. I also "borrow" photos from FB heh!! The b/w page and texturing/stains make this feel like an old movie from that era. well done!

Love that he had some cherished moments in such a bleak and horrifying landscape. Borrowing is the BEST!!

I stalk my kids on Instagram, which is how I get most of the photos for their scrapbooks, so I know the feeling! This photo is so wonderful--with the contrast of war and that sweet little furball--and your design does it justice. I love that subtle little line of text at the top.

I have to agree, your page at the same time evokes the bleakness of war and that frozen moment of tenderness. I am so sorry about your photos being lost in a move. I know exactly what you are talking about. My family photos were also lost is moves.

Love the b/w ... the layering and texture are beautiful! Powerful page!
