For a VERY long time I have wanted to remove my front lawn... I hate mowing it and keeping it green, and what with the DROUGHT we are in the middle of, it only made sense to bite the bullet and figure out what I am going to do, and get it done... My occasional gardener agreed to be my helper for his normal rate, which has made it doable... sort of...! The bottom photo shows it in the beginning and the top one with the grass totally dead and green painted lines showing where I want walkways and berms to be placed... my intention at the moment is for the berms to be covered with river rock, boulders and a few choice shrubs...
