I am not really much of a Girlie-Girl, so I was a bit stumped when the topic was about "Shoes." But my relationship (really!!) with my Docs is pretty special. I made sure that I shot the photo of them pretty much as I would see them when I was staring at them during my treatments.

These are my Happy Docs. Docs might not typically be associated with Happy, but when I look at them, they make me smile.. And this past spring, I spent a damn lot of time looking at them.. I did 4 1/2 straight weeks of Radiation Therapy and wore these boots almost every day. From the waist up, I was all hospital gown issue but the waist down, I was still all me. Lying still, day in and day out while my body was being zapped and burned all in the hopes that any cancer cells would be destroyed, I could look at my Happy Docs and feel just a little bit better at that moment in time.
