The Flower Bed
We came across this heavy iron bed out in the forest and looked for remaining footings or other signs of an old cabin. There were none. We
wondered how such a heavy bed ended up where it was, so high up and distant from other remains or structures of any kind. Construction for Budge's
resort was started in 1928, and is just a small place thirteen miles north. Glenwood Springs would be about twenty miles to the south. It is now a
flower bed.
