Story:
Little Miss Independent is what my Mum called me and now Im saying pretty much the same about my boy. Hes fiercely independent, insistent on wearing shorts and long socks to school. He leaves the house in the morning at 8.10am so that he can catch the boy next door (3 years older), walking down to the bus stop .He loves to play football with the big boys before school. There is no formal arrangement just something he figured out himself. In the afternoon, he comes off the bus and walks right by me. I dont mind. I know hed rather I not be there but I like to keep a watchful eye and still need to be there for Ella, who likes to fill me in on the girl drama of her day. Jan 2013

Process:
1. Added background paper to template.
Clipped a photo to the center circle mask, deleting the other 2 masks.
2. Clip another photo to the transfer layer behind the frame and apply a Multiply blending mode.
3. Clip a third photo to the paint layer, behind the transfer, and convert to black/white. Create a new layer, clip to the black/white photo and paint in white (the same color as my background) with a distressing brush to conceal areas of the image background.
4. Add the LoveGlows and apply Screen/Hard Light blending modes.
5. Stamp the heart brush from ArtPlay Infautated BrushSet in blue on a new layer and apply a Screen blending mode.
6. Add the ArtStroke to the layout.
what a wonderful story...interesting perspective, since I never had a boy, I can relate to the Ella story but am intrigued by the Luke story. And, perfect timing...I was looking at this template yesterday wondering how I would use it...great example! love the pic of you in the doily frame

What a dude he is! My 10 yr walks on by too and is far too cool to acknowledge me when he bumps into my during our joint day at school.

Love the blending of the photos, love the colours, love your journaling, love it all.

Not sure who (or where) the idea started relating to describing the process of creating the layouts which is appearing more-and-more frequently on most posts....but I really like it and it not only adds to the creative process, but it allows the network of scrappers here to benefit from understanding how to do certain tasks. Thank you for doing this...and to everyone else who is also following suit :-)
