This is a photo of Steve Bernier one of the 4th line players for my Devils - he was given a 5 min major penalty for boarding (a fair call). My team gave up 3 goals on this power play which is totally unacceptable! It was an ugly loss by my team. This young man stood up at the end of the game as the Kings were celebrating and answered all the questions. I am so proud of him and proud he is a Devil. Now for my rant - while the call on Bernier was fair the same penalty was not called against the Kings nor were they called for a punch in the face of my Devil. I know that the Kings were a tad better than my Devils but when the refs don't make the playing field even it makes the loss for me that much more painful.
