Soliloquy from a Wounded Heart

The challenge was the word "soliloquy" and I was having trouble working out what to do for it - without stealing, outrageously from Shakespeare - until an unfortunate exchange with my daughter a couple of days ago. Then it appeared, fully formed, in my mind!

this is just perfect. i could have written this myself, except that my problem is with a daughter who was a PERFECT 11-year-old, and that continued until she wbecame a not-so-perfect 25-year-old. you never know with kids. it's never over. and mine has never apologised. again, Selena. just perfect.

oh, wow, can i relate. The other day I asked myself why humans don't eat their young, because ATM, i really thought that they should LOL
This is a brutally real bit of art and life. Amazing page.

So strong and so real Selena! I'm sorry you're going through hard times with your DD... teenagers are not easy, it's true! But I guess they are not the only ones... My 4YO already made me cry more than once! But we love them, don't we? Hugs my friend!!!

Selena, your words cracked my heart - I've been there with a teenage daughter. still at > 40 years knows the buttons and seems to push deliberately.
Grow that outer shell and stay strong. She's only 11 and perhaps things will not develop further - she's pushing the
boundaries as you said
warm hugs

((((hugs))))

Your journaling-skills are FABULOUS, and i'm glad you've used them for this.

Oh girl, my 11 yo son just did this to me the other day as well...must be something in the air these days! As usual your journaling here is second to none, and you've created such an incredibly powerful image. Good luck to both of us in growing that thick skin - and here's hoping it is merely a temporary phase they are going through!!

Uh, what the heck!!!!! I can't imagine what it was that she said, but the resulting LO is phenomenal ... talk about scrap therapy!!!
