I have been wanting to scrap this little conversation with my grandson, who is 6 yo. I am being more inspired to scrap more things like this by Selena's (Bush Girl) pages....I totally love her REAL LIFE JOURNALING!!!!! Not just the gushy mushy stuff!! :) So thanks for that Selena!!! :)
Now here is the journaling:
Last week, I picked you up from the bus stop and on the
way back to the house, you asked me if you could marry
Savannah when you grew up. I was quite shocked. But
I answered by telling you that it was not proper to get
married to someone you were related to. He, of course,
questioned this too. So I did my best to explain "BEING
RELATED" and that it was against the law to marry
your own sister. So then he asked if he could marry his
cousin. I again explained "being related". This just
was not satisfactory to him. He sat for a couple of
minutes without saying anything. Then all of sudden
he just blurted out "WELL, NANA, WHO CAN I MARRY
WHEN I GROW UP??? CAN I MARRY SOMEONE FROM
MY CLASS AT SCHOOL??" OhI quickly told him that
would just fine, if that was what he wanted to
do. He smiled and said "I think I might just have the
one picked out". I LOVE THAT BOY!
