A companion page to the one about my great grandfather when he was police chief. He loved my great grandmother, top left, with all his heart. The top 2 photos were likely taken on their 45th wedding anniversary in Aug 1943 but he already had the cancer that would take him from her. He died in 1944, she died in 1961. Their love was eternal and she never remarried, but lived out her life with my Aunt Edna (their daughter for whom I have no pictures although I knew her well when a child) and Uncle Ben, Cousin Mary.
