Process
Pattern paper 3 from APP Uncanny was used as the foundation for the page. The photo of the house was clipped to a fotoblendz mask, duplicated with the blending mode changed to color burn. A gold stain from AT Uncanny_1 was layered over the image with the blending mode changed to linear burn (reduced opacity). The cuckoo clock was added. The image of my grandmother and great aunt were extracted and placed over the skeleton and ghost, making it look like they are sitting in the balcony. Artsy Transfers Uncanny_1 was added (some of the layers were either recolored or the blending mode changed). The page was completed by adding confetti, splatters, word art and journaling.

Thank you for looking!

This is wonderful Miki! The composition, blending of the photograph of the home and the genius positioning of the two photographs within the clock not to mention your spot on typographic positioning. So much to love here!

I like the story, remember watching a clock at my Aunt Mary's in a similar fashion.I like how your expert layering and blending add so much interest to the page.

I have my parent's cuckoo clock in the closet. My cat broke it playing with the weights. Time to get it fixed, it's full of memories for me too. Love your layout, love how you placed your relatives in the clock!

Artful storytelling at your best. I got to ask– where the two female relatives “cuckoo?“ Brought back memories of my dad‘s cuckoo clock, it was one of his favorite things. My mother hated it, she purposely forgot to wind it for over a month. It took that long for my dad to notice it. Lol.

A perfect page for your story! Love the placement of your grandmother and aunt and also the inclusion of home that held the clock!

My great aunt (on the left) was a bit quirky. She added the fun. My grandmother was the sweetest person.

Love how you used the clock, and your story is fantastic! Love the green beads too!
