On monday evening there was a "farewell dinner" Monday night for the American exchange students who have spent the past few weeks here in Belgium. Everyone brought something delicious for dinner, so the tables were filled with a plethora of flavors and dishes. It was great to see everyone doing their best to make something special.
The dinner included speeches where the American students thanked the Belgian host families and the organizers for their time here.
On Tuesday morning at 6 a.m., the moment arrived when the American students left for the United States. It was an emotional farewell, with hugs, kisses and a few tears.
We wished them all the best in their future adventures and hoped they would look back on their time here with many fond memories.
