The walnut tree reached its peak yellow and then was beautiful for three more days. Then overnight about half of the leaves at the top came off. The next day was windy and they kept coming down. There were three weeks of October’s best color before lots of trees suddenly were half or fully bare.
Such beautiful colors and presentation! We had about the same with our walnut tree. Hard freeze two nights this week and all the leaves just fell off. I went to pick up walnuts, and there weren't any. Yesterday and today in the 80's. Crazy!
